About me

My name is Elsbeth Weeks.  I am a 20-something software engineer at Google.

A few years ago, I moved out to California from the midwest for a boy.  He broke my heart, but I had already drunk the California Kool-Aid, so I decided to stay.  In the wake of my heart-break, I found a new job, a great group of friends and an insatiable desire for adventure.  My solo weekend in Hong Kong was a whirlwind.  I spent the next year travelling to five countries and seven states, all while maintaining my full-time job.

Now, I love to travel, but I also love my work.  Google is an amazing employer, and I am so grateful to work on the best camera in the smartphone market, but that doesn’t mean I’m content sitting-still.  Before I return from a trip, I am already planning the next one!  I am quite skilled at balancing ‘adult responsibilities’ with once-in-a-lifetime adventures. I hope I can share some insight with my readers 🙂
